When I founded The Maumelle Players as a community theatre group in
the early summer of 2005, I had three main and simple objectives:
create awareness for the arts in all its forms, raise funds for
worthy causes, and have great time doing it!
All our previous productions: "The Unexpected Guest," "Tom Sawyer,
The Musical," "Spider’s Web," and our two interactive dinner theatre
plays "A Wedding to Kill For!" and "BINGO... Spells Murder" were
enthusiastically received by Maumelle residents. The tremendous
support and enthusiasm we experienced was beyond any expectations we
could have wished for.
The Maumelle Players hope to create a stronger appreciation of the
arts in Maumelle by producing at least two plays each year. In the
near future, The Maumelle Players will also start sponsoring
concerts, recitals and other art-related events.
If you wish to participate in our productions/projects, then we
would like to hear from you. We invite you to join The Maumelle
Players... there are no membership fees. All we need is your
enthusiasm, talent and participation in our efforts to expand
awareness of the arts in Maumelle. Email us at
info@maumelleplayers.org.
You may also contact us by mail: The Maumelle Players - P. O.
Box 13316 - Maumelle AR 72113. We’re looking forward to welcome you
as a member of The Maumelle Players. Keep visiting our website

announcements.
Thank you again for your greatly appreciated support. The money we
raise is shared with the Maumelle Senior Wellness Center. Thanks to
you, our two dinner theatre productions raised over $3,000.00 for
the Maumelle Senior Wellness Center.
The Maumelle Players’ goal, together with sister organizations, such
as The Maumelle Arts Council and the Maumelle Children’s Community
Theatre share the common interest of having a permanent Center for
the Arts in Maumelle. To have an Art Center for Maumelle Residents
to enjoy its year-round programs.
On behalf of The Maumelle Players, backstage support crew and our
membership, I would like to extend our gratitude and thanks to all
theatre lovers and the wonderful volunteers whose enthusiasm for
what we do is exemplary and a source of inspiration. Their strong
commitment will help us attain our goal for a permanent home for the
arts in Maumelle. Our productions could not have been achieved
without them.
