Eloise Kalb – Director

MA University of Mississippi - Ole Miss
Eloise Kalb taught 43 years in high
school and college. She worked with Community Theatre and UA at Phillips
College. She directed “My Fair Lady,” “South Pacific,” and “Lil’ Abner.”
She also worked with “Oliver,” among others as Technical Director.
Ms. Kalb directed “Tom Sawyer” at
University of Arkansas PCCC and Tallapoosa, GA. As a co-founder of The
Maumelle Players, she co-directed in autumn 2005, Agatha Christie’s play
“The Unexpected Guest” in Maumelle, Arkansas.

Melinda Kalb Beith - Choreographer
Director of Dance
Central High School, Little Rock, AR
Melinda Kalb Beith, our choreographer is director of dance at Central
High School in Little Rock.
She studied dance for 13 years with
Pauline Smith at Stephen College in Columbia Missouri. Director of
Grease and other musicals, Melinda most recently directed Seussical.

Pam Werner
Music Director
Pam has been teaching piano for 30 years. She studied for 15 years
with Dr. Haruko Kataoka, co-founder of the Suzuki Mother Tongue
approach.
She currently teaches piano in Maumelle. She has taught choral music
in elementary and middle schools.

Cole Schott
(Tom Sawyer) -
Cole is a six grade student attending at Maumelle
Middle school. He has acted in 6 performances: 3 in Maumelle and the other 3
at UCA. Col is 12 years old and interested in football and basketball. He
has played Jack in "Jack and the Beanstalk", Josh in "Crystal and the
Christmas Snowman", and one of the townspeople in the "Pied Piper". |

Hailey Weiner
(Becky Thatcher) -
Hailey Weiner is 11 years old and attends Maumelle
Middle School. This is Hailey's first performance with The Maumelle
Players, but theater is her true passion in life. She has been involved in
numerous vocal talent shows around the state and has been the special
entertainment at many Arkansas sponsored state pageants. Her hobbies include
singing, dancing, and hanging out with her friends.

Drew Baggett
(Sid Sawyer) -
Nine-year-old Drew is back on
stage. He previously was the Engineer in “Wind in the Willows” and played a
major role in his church’s rendition of “A Mouse Christmas” in 2005. He
loves the stage as well as swimming on Maumelle’s swim team and playing
point guard in Upward Basketball for two years. He also enjoys reading,
playing video and board games and riding his bike. He just joined the Cub
Scouts and likes camping. Everything he does is done with enthusiasm. |

Timothy
Werner, (Huckleberry Finn) - Timothy has acted in the Young People’s Theatre
in productions of On The Town, Bye Bye Birdie, Little Woman,
Cheaper By The Dozen and Agatha Christie's The Unexpected Guest. He was lighting director for the Maumelle
Children’s Community Theatre Production of Snow White and the Seven
Dwarfs. Timothy is currently home-schooled and enjoys online gaming, web
design and would like to be a police officer. |

Zachary Hickman, (Joe Harper) - Zach is
a 15 yr old veteran of the stage. He attend Oak Grove High School where he
is an award winner in vocals and drama in state competitions. He's
happy to return to the stage after appearing in "The Unexpected Guest" as
Jan Warwick, and Howard King in "If These Walls Could Talk". |

Carson Thomas Hudson
(Alfred Temple) - Carson Hudson Carson is 13 years old. He attends
Academics Plus Charter School in Maumelle. This is his debut performance.
His hobbies are basketball, reading, swimming, and studying weather. |

Christopher Baggett
(Ben Rogers) -
Christopher is an 11-year old
veteran of the stage. He is in the 5th grade. He has been
active in the Maumelle Children’s Theatre in roles such as the Weasel King
in “Wind in the Willows” and Witch Hazel in last year’s “Snow White.” He
also played a Roman Centurion in his church’s Christmas play and just
completed his second season as a guard in Upward
basketball. Chris just joined the Boy Scouts and is looking forward to
earning his badges. He loves animals and has 3 cats and 2 dogs. Chris
enjoys building things and wants to be an architect someday. |

Grant Pearson
(Jim Hollis) - Grant is 9 years old. He is a third grader
at Williams Magnet in Little Rock. His acting skills included "Jack
and the Beanstalk," at UCA; Solid Rock Café and various church
programs.

Hannah McElduff (Amy Lawrence) -
Hanna McElduff is a 4th grader at Crystal Hill
Elementary. She had her onstage debut in 2004 as the wife in "Wind in the
Willows". Among her many hobbies are soccer and TaeKwando. Hannah enjoys
acting and singing. She excels academically and is currently enrolled in the
Alpha Program at Crystal Hill. |

Allie Odom
(Janie Hardin) - Allie Odom was born and raised in Maumelle. She is
fourteen years old. She is in the eighth grade at Academics Plus Charter
School. She loves to act, and has been in several plays before, including
"The Frog Prince & Princess Brat" in 2002 and "A Modern Christmas Carol" in
2004. She loves animals, music, and fantasy, and hates cleaning, spiders,
and thunder. |

Grace
Thomasson (Gracie Miller) - Grace is a 4th grader at Pine Forest
Elementary. Her interests include swimming, gymnastics, cheerleading
and acting. She appeared last summer in the Maumelle Children's
Theatre production of "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" as Bashful. |

Hannah Baggett
(Susan Harper)
- Hannah is a 14-year old 8th
grader. Her previous performances were in Maumelle Children’s Theatre as
the Daughter in “Wind in the Willows.” She swam on the Maumelle Marlin
swim team last summer and plans to return to the team this year. Hannah
plays the piano and has won awards in her age group. She loves to read, is
active in her drama group at church, and loves to shop with her friends and
play with her beloved cat, Snow. |

Denise Loken (Aunt Polly) - Denise is
re-entering the acting arena after a 20 year hiatus. She was very active
in theatre and vocal music throughout high school and college. She spent
2 summers touring the US and Europe with a nationally ranked show choir as
well as acting/directing numerous productions. She moved to Maumelle from
Cleveland, Ohio in 1995 and lives with her husband and 3 children.

B. J. Saunders, (Mrs. Harper).-
This is BJ's third performance. Her
first was 32 years ago in a skit when graduating from nursing school. Her
last was Maumelle Players "Unexpected Guest" playing Mrs.. Warwick.
She is pleased to be joined in this
performance by her 9 year old identical twin granddaughters, Demi and
Eberle. She has worked at UAMS
for the last 25 years. She is currently working in the ACRC Ladies Oncology
Clinic. She is married to Ken Saunders and has two grown children, Brady and
Jenna. She has four GRAND children. Her hobbies are gardening and chauffeuring
her fabulous 4 in the NANAVAN. BJ wishes to thank her family for all their
love and support. |

Dana Baggett,
(Mrs.
Thatcher) - Dana is a mother of four,
all of whom are in the play. She home-schools all of them, caters, and has a
scrap-booking business. Her love of music and drama started at an early age
and she stayed involved through high school and is a member of Thespian
Troope 912. |

DeAnn Knight, (School Mistress) - DeAnn's
debut performance was as Harriett Angell in Agatha Christie's Play "The
Unexpected Guest" with The Maumelle Players, in November 2005. Since
then, she was a cast member in "Our Town", with the Community Theater of
Little Rock, February 2006. DeAnn is very happy to be back with her
debut group, The Maumelle Players. "I am very excited to be involved in Tom
Sawyer, the musical version," said DeAnn. She moved to Arkansas from
Wisconsin to marry her husband, Robert, who recently returned from Iraq. She
has one son, Greg, and 3 wonderful sisters, and her mother who has
encouraged DeAnn her entire life; all still in Wisconsin. |

Nick Ferrara (Muff Potter) - Nick is a former member of the Dauphin
Players, in St. Louis, MO. His credits include Og the Leprechaun
from "Finian's Rainbow"; Mr. Twimbel and Wally Womper (duel
roles) from "How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying";
and Malachi Stack from Thornton Wilder's "The Matchmaker".
Nick lives in the Hillcrest neighborhood of Little Rock with his wife
Nancy and two sons, Mike (14) and Jack (11).

David Deville
(Injun Joe) - David is 17 years old and has been active in
theatre since he was much younger. Some of his noteworthy roles were
Charlie Brown (Snoopy Musical - Stage Kids), Howie (Ramona Quimby - North
Little Rock High School), and Professor Kadorski (All American Lakewood Middle
School). David is planning on being in another high school play before
he graduates. He's planning to study engineering. |

Mark Albright
(Dr Robinson) - Mark Albright has lived in Maumelle for 15 years
and has an advertising company in town. He is the father of three girls; one
of which is in the program and was responsible for twisting his arm into
taking on the part of young Dr. Robinson. |

Victor
Werner, (Preacher) - Victor has been involved in various
dramatic productions since high school. He has had parts in Our Town
and Annie, Get Your Gun. His directorial debut was "The Unexpected
Guest" and was
assisted by two capable co-directors, Eloise Kalb and Roger A. Frangieh.
Victor was one of the original board members of the Maumelle Arts Council
and enjoys the arts in all its forms. He has also assisted in set
construction and other aspects of the Young People’s Theatre and the
Maumelle Children’s Community Theatre. He is one of the charter members of
The Maumelle Players and serves as City Alderman for Ward 2, Position 2. |

Mark Baggett
(Sheriff) -
This is Mark’s debut on a Maumelle
stage, although he is not a stranger to it elsewhere. His other
performances are usually in church musicals, where his roles range far and
wide. A native Texan, Mark is active in his church, where he sings baritone
in the choir, and has started a new Boy/Cub Scout troop. He enjoys hunting,
fishing, golfing, and watching almost any sport. He is in Sales Management
in Little Rock, and has lived in Maumelle 5 ½ years. He has been married 16
½ years and has 4 children, all of which are in the play. |
